Ford’s great-grandfather Min Chung, a Nevada mining pioneer, emigrated in 1865 from Kaiping China to San Francisco. In San Francisco he took the name Ford.

Jamie Ford was raised near Seattle’s Chinatown.

Today, he lives in Montana with his wife and children.
